That makes the assistant professor one of the highest-paying full-time professors in the world, according the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at Ohio State University.
The highest-payed adjunct professor salary for a public institution is $33.8 million.
The highest-income assistant professor for a publicly-funded university is $42.6 million.
This is a change from last year, when the most expensive assistant professor earned $47.5 million.
The highest pay for an adjunct professor is $36.6 per hour, which is a $2,500 increase over last year’s annual salary of about $31.5 per hour.
The most expensive associate professor for the same institution is about $38.4 per hour at a $60,000 salary.
The average full-timers assistant professor salary is $45.4, which includes health insurance and benefits, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
The average full time assistant professor earns about $37,000 per year, according National Academies of Science and Engineering.
That is a rise of about 8 percent from the previous year.
