“I think that my own career trajectory has been influenced by what I learned there,” he explained.

“People are always interested in what makes them a good teacher,” he recalled.

“They’re interested in whether they can really teach something, and I think what makes me a good educator is that I can be really honest about my methods.”

In 2016, he received a nomination for a Doctor of Laws.

Professor Jison agreed that he had a good work-life balance.

“We are lucky in Canada to have so many good teachers,” he stated.

“Because we are in Canada, we are able to have this incredible opportunity to teach people in a very collaborative way.”

Professor Jison said he would love to see more students take on the teaching role and help other people learn.

“The future is bright,” he advised.
